GAIN are running two training Days on 31 March and 01 April 2010. 31 March 2010 - Advanced Clinical Audit (15 places available) This is a one-day course that provides delegates with a full understanding of the clinical audit process and includes information and advice on how to carry out clinical audit to an advanced level. This course offers accredited learning to those candidates who wish to take this up. Clinical audit is relevant to all healthcare professionals and is suitable for anyone who has a basic understanding of the clinical audit process and who wants to learn more.

01 April 2010 - Teaching Clinical Audit Accredited Course (Train the Trainer) (8 places available) Teaching clinical audit is a one-day course that provides delegates with the key skills required and confidence to train others in clinical audit methodology. This course will serve as a "train the trainers" resource, providing audit trainers with a validated national qualification that will also enable successful learners to deliver accredited audit training. If you are involved in clinical audit and have a responsibility for delivering clinical audit training to other healthcare professionals, this course will be perfect for you.

- How to deliver an introductory clinical audit training session
- Getting the right balance - mixing theory, practical advice and fun activities!
- How to structure and write a suitable lesson plan
- How top profile your learners and assess their needs
- Understanding how individuals learn - eg styles, environment, etc.
- How to deal with difficult situations that you may encounter
- Presentation skills - delivering a presentation to your peer group.
- Delegates receive copies of powerpoint slides, plus additional resources.
Both these courses will delivered at the Department of Health, Castle Buildings, Stormont. These courses are free of charge, however a charge of £100 will be levied on those who cancel at the last minute or fail to attend on the day.
